Little By Little: Chapter Five

Stupid's P.O.V
  I opened the door to my room and I allowed Snag to go in first, just to show that I had manners. After he went in, I closed the door on my way in. I embraced Snag in a warm hug, not letting him go. But instead of him hugging me back, he pushed me away and dusted himself off. What was up with him? From the minute he showed up, he's been acting like he didn't know me. I had to ask him to find out why. I grabbed him by the arms, pulled him in and asked, "What's your problem? Duh, you've been giving me the cold shoulder since the minute you got here! What's wrong?"


Snag's P.O.V
   Did he seriously want to know? Knowing I couldn't hide my anger, I delivered an upper cut to Stupid's jaw. The blow stunned him and he fell backwards. Stupid got up and rubbed his jaw, "What the hell was that for?" he asked furiously, "Duh, what did I do that got you so mad?" My claws came out and I scratched Stupid across the face, "You've done enough!", I replied bitterly. "Duh, what's that supposed to mean?" Stupid asked rudely. "I didn't expect my 'old friend' to work for the bad guy," I replied, adding quotes to the phrase "old friend", "But hey, people always have their old friends betray them eventually! And it looks like I'm one of them!"



Stupid's P.O.V
   Betray? I would never betray Snag. I placed a hand on his shoulder, and that seemed to calm him down, "Duh, I would never betray you, Snag," I told him, "You and I had promised to be friends forever, no matter what. Remember?" Snag looked like he was thinking about what I said. Then, he smiled a little and replied, "Yeah, that's true. And I know you. You never break a promise." I nodded in agreement. Then, I stuck my hand out and asked, "Duh, so we're still friends?"


Snag's P.O.V
   I knew I couldn't stay mad at him, so I shook his hand and replied, "I don't see why not." After we stopped shaking hands, I suddenly felt a pang of regret. Now I felt bad for ignoring Stupid and punching him in the jaw and scratching him across the face. "Look, I'm sorry for ignoring you and injuring you", I said sadly. Stupid chuckled a little, "That's alright", he replied, "Duh, I guess I deserved that." I smiled and giggled a little. Realizing I giggled, I covered my mouth and blushed in embarrassment. Stupid smiled warmly, "Duh, you always had a cute laugh", he replied warmly. I smiled sheepishly and my blush deepened. I was also a bit confused. Why was I blushing so deeply? And why did Stupid say that my laugh was....cute?
